I received my slip and tactical sheaths yesterday (thanks Bob form all the help) and they are oooh! so nice.

Found an addittional way to carry the Moran with the slip sheath - in a Nite Ize Pock-its Utility Holster (www.niteize.com) , by slipping the knife in the slip sheath into the hidden back pocket of the Utility Holster leaving only about 4cm of the handle protruding from the top of the Utility holster. I think it makes for a nice alternative low profile carry method.

I like mine too. I've been using the slip sheath alot, both in front pocket as intended ans as an IWB carry method. Works really well and is holding up just fine. These guys make a very nice product. Bald1 and Scott both deserve all the accolades they've gotten over their "baby".

Thanks much guys … I appreciate the kind words and with out a doubt Bald1 has been a great help in many ways. However, there would be no need for my sheaths without a great knife. Sal and the Spyderco team have done a superb job in producing a top quality fixed blade. I hope the Moran is not the last in Spyderco’s inventory as I enjoy the attention.

Deon,

That is an interesting variation

! Glad the sheaths made it all the way to South Africa and you too.

Brian,

A small fixed blade and a slip sheath make for a neat carry package don't they!!! As much as I like my folders, having a fixed conveniently available has distinct advantages.

Scott, Brian & Deon:

Thanks for the kind words. It's been an awful week, so the comments have meant even more!

PS Just heard from Clay Kesting that he's received his sheaths in Australia too. Never imagined that these would prove so popular nor find their way to so many points of the globe!

Bob: Thanks and a lift of the lynch lid to you for putting me onto the Moran and the slip sheath. As I go in harm's way, it makes a good companion. As in all good things that I learn, I feel obligated to pass this information along and do so as occasion permits. As I know Bob, I have found him to be a critical thinker and enjoy his written and spoken evaluation of cutlery.

Now....if I can just get him into some Tactical Tupperware...

Kilroy
