We've shipped knives back and forth to that address, trying to resolve some "Murphy's Law" issues. Making progress. I'll be looking up their booth at the SHOT Show, digital camera in hand, to see what they've done since changing their whole production system.
I can't seem to get to their web page at www.ediknives.com this morning.
Any luck, Leroys_45? I still haven't gotten an email back yet or anything. I figured I would wait until after the holidays, but I am still waiting. My genesis was engaging too far on the right side. I took it apart to clean it and when i put it back together, it engages in the middle. I did notice some sort of vertical line on the side of the blade right in front of the thumb stud all the way down. Could this be a problem? let me know how contacting EDI goes; I think I need to give them a call. I can't wait too much longer cuz I'll be back at college and not be able to send it back

What you've found is a "trick" with the Genesis. The original ones were assembled with a specific torquing sequence to the handle screws. By playing with the tension of the handle you can move the engagement a bit left or right. It may not be the soundest practice but it'll work

i never did call. mine was missing the detent ball to hold it closed. i found a friend that had some and did it myself. thanks for the tip on lock engagement, i'm going to try that tonight.
I'm glad I found that little trick or else I would be without my genesis for a while! Its right in the midddle now and after a few hard flicks, is still there. Before, one or 2 good flicks caused the liner to move way over. Hopefully the genesis will last another year or two!
thanks for the heads up about shutting down their site. It was sad to see how the really fell after Will left. it was nice knowing that people stood behind their product and i could get help, but now it seems like EDI has dropped off of the face of the earth. Oh well, there are plenty of other makers that are still here!
That is part of the reason why I am dumping all of my stock of EDI knives. If anyone goes to the SHOT Show and sees EDI there find out what is going on.
