Servers have been fixed...

Just wanted to let anyone that tries to connect to #bladeforums.com on irc.newnet.net or using the mibbit link we post ( http://www.mibbit.com/chat/?server=irc.newnet.net&channel=#bladeforums.com ) that newnet is currently banning everyone, I haven't banned any individuals, so don't think it is personal.

Newnet uses something called the Abusive Hosts Blocking List to set default bans, it is a list of all types of known spammers and such from around the world, recently the service shut down and to get the attention of admins of sites they have it set to ban everyone by default. I'm hoping the admins on Newnet correct this soon, I don't expect to have to switch servers. Just try reconnecting once in a while.

As the new operator of Newnet I can assure you this is no longer an issue ;) Sorry for pinging a really old message.
 
Nice to hear, I haven't done IRC in many years, I used to run a Linux support channel (#Mandriva) on freenode many many years ago.
 
I'm not even sure what all this is about, but thanks for the updates. I will lock this thread as it isn't about knifemaking. The new info will stay available that way.
