EDMF Knives ?

Hello everyone

This is my first post, I'm glad to be here, happy to have discovered this site and getting smarter everyday reading here (as long as my intelligence is tested about knives only ...) ...

So, my question is about a seller called EDMF Knives :

I don't know if anyone here has dealt with this seller, any info would be very helpful.

I am looking for a smatchet, so if anyone also knows where I can get one, please enlighten me ...

I have emailed them a couple of times over the last two years and have gotten no response. They were once a well-respected maker of great bargains in custom knives, but I don't think their web page has changed or been updated in years.

I would love to know if anyone has heard from them in the last year or so because I want one of their smatchets as well.
 
I've got one of there smatchets, had it for years. It's built tough but it's heavy.
I heard that the maker was ill and was taking some time off to get well.
 
Yes, last I remember(2 years back), Mr. Sandberg had both a backlog and some health issues, it seemed like he was semi-retiring according to those that talked with him. Shame, very nice knives for the money.

His Fairbairn Fair Sword was really close to the original.
 
funny this popped up, i have an eight dollar mountain 9" bowie with knuckle guard i was playing with a few days ago & was wondering the same thing,if he is still making them or has stopped.pretty cool knives,reasonable prices,too from what i remember,about 100.00.
 
Carl Sandberg was sick a few eyars back. I had a couple on order with him that never manisfested themselves. At the time, I beleive the wait was so long I went ahead and cenceled them. He was having some health prbolems. But nothing was ever heard after that. I tired to call, and also emailed him not long ago. But never received a response.
