Edmund Davidson requested that I post these beautiful photographic
impressions he took home with from the recent 2010 NY ECCKS.

He shot these beautiful portraits with his Canon EOS 7D with a 24-70 F2.8 Lens,
using an ISO 1600 setting and custom White Balance.
I was very impressed, and I hope you too like what he did...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Yup I remember him Edmund walking around with that large camera. Thanks for the post. I checked to see if I was in the background in any, but didn't find myself.

VERY good pictures. My compliments to Edmund and thanks to you for posting them David.

Speaking of Edmund, congratulations is in order for the great story in Blade (May). It depicted the presentation to "The King" Richard Petty of an awesome knife Edmund made.

Peter

Yes Peter, it is an AWESOME sub-hilt. See here....

Excellent! I was hoping we'd see a bit more from this show. Much appreciated.

Roger

thanks for posting those, David, and thanks to Edmund for taking them:thumbup:
Looking through these pictures was great!

I really have to add here that I have never yet seen a set of
pictures taken (no matter by whom) in any knife Showroom,
that even comes close to these pictures taken by Edmund.

It is not only his keen eye and steady hand, developed over
the years by competitive shooting and precise knifemaking
techniques. It is also (and mainly?) due to the fact that he
got everything together from the photograpic / technical
point of view! And that really is not too difficult when
one does things by the book...
:)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thanks for posting these photos, David, and thanks to Edmund for taking them.

That integral subhilt is one of the nicest knives I have seen. I'm not a fan of scrimshaw, but it sure works on that knife.

Wow. As you have suggested David, Edmund's photography skills may even exceed his knife-making skills! Thanks for sharing these.

Great people shots in low light have always been hard to get without resorting to flash but the new Canon 7D (and similar Nikon model) is changing that for millions of people everywhere.

This is, as Edmund puts it, the 2010 NY ECCKS Show Stopper...
He is also quite sure that everyone at the show remembers her....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
