I was wondering if anybody knew for sure if the product Eezox is okay to spray on pivots for lube etc.In particular the Chinook,I believe they have synthetic washers? The product says if you get on rubber wipe excess, but no mention if it would harm other synthetics. This product is widely used on firearms, including polymer gun frames etc.It basically is a type of CLP.After time in the air the solvent portion evaporates leaving a dry film lubricant as the lube and rust preventative.Any advice on this product? Works great on my pistol, thought it might be safe and effective on my knives. Thanks

I've been using it for years on my folders. Best product I've ever found for lube and keeping fingerprints off at shows.
I use it on all my guns too. Just hard to find it.
A customer received his new folder just the other day and asked what that nice smell was....EEZOX.

I purchased it from the distributor below. It is harder to find then other products.I'm really glad to hear it is safe to use on knives,I figured it should be,but wanted some verification. As you mentioned it is very pleasing as far as smell. No strong nasty fumes. If the directions are followed,I find it works as advertised.I've been very impressed with it on my firearms.I actually threw away my hoppes,Breakfree clp,Militec, because I liked Eezox so much. Now I don't have to go buy Sentry Solutions products just for my blades. Thanks again for the info.To all that have not tried this product,it works really good, best I've used.

I've been using Eezox for years on all my guns. Just started to use it on some of my knives. So far it seems to be working just fine, but I have wondered about the synthetic washer thing? Bill

I just wanted to make sure that this product was specifically safe for use with synthetic washers, since Kit didn't specify washers in his post.I fired off an e-mail to Paul at Eezox/Warren Custom Outdoor. He confirmed speaking with Kit himself and Kit uses it with his folders that have synthetic washers with no ill effect.Seems there should be no problem with using on your knives.I'm going to use some right now :)

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. I use Teflon and Nylatron washers and have never experienced any problems using EEZOX on them. I wipe down handles with it, even wood ones and have had no problems. It really works well with Damascus.
I spoke with Paul on Sunday and looks like it won't be as hard to find as it used to.

Thanks Kit again for the reply.I treated some of my Chinooks I have, and almost immediatly they smoothed right out.Love this stuff, and the wife appreciates the fact it is pleasant smelling with no fumes.Hell,I might even start using this as my after shave :)

I also use it on all my guns and knives, though I do like to experiment with different products. It is one very fine product for rust prevention and lube, maybe the best out there, imho.
