Trying to wait patiently...

Tam you tease! ;)

I have a Tactical Persian on order and after seeing your pics I'm thinking of order a second one. Anyways, thanks for the preview and as always YOU SUCK!:D

Tam,
Man that is some serious looking steel.

Damn to think I almost missed out on one.

OK, when the hell did EE start making those designs and why is this the first time they have been shown on the fourms??

are they customs, productions, what??

Check out on the thread about Emerson Collectors Association. Follow the link there.
Get in or be sorry later. Over 60 of them are taken so far that I know of. Think hes only going to do 200 (could be wrong) of each years knife.

The fixed blade is a limited production and only a few are available.
I am so totaly jazzed about the ECA that I dont know how I will last untill I get it!!!!

Haven't heard an answer to the question of whether this persian folder is a straight production knife or what? $325. seems a bit steep for a non- custom, when a cqc7 production can be had for about $85. on the web. Oh well, the neatness factor is very large here. Hard to put a price on that. OK. I'm a buyer. Let me guess, about a 2 yr wait? Still impossible to log in on the ever elusive USN site.

You can only get the knife if you are a member of the collectors association. I think onces these hit the market, the price will double. Give it a year and who knows what they will be worth.

I know I should stick it in the safe, but it will go in my pocket.

Currently there are two versions of the Persions planned/in the works.

1. a straight up production version. Black-T, double ground blade. Retail is $199.

2. "Emerson Collector's Accosiation" annual limited run. These pieces are available only to ECA members (see web site). They will feature handground, uncoated real Satin finish, Chisel ground with zero bezel on a production body. This knife will also feature the new ECA logo.

The ECA Persian is limited to 200 pieces max and from what I saw at the Blade Show, I'm thinking spots will be running thin very, very soon. Price of this piece is $325.

The Kandahar looks great. The first 50 are "Pre-Production" hand ground versions (according to the website). anyone know if that includes the ones that went to the movie? I think I am on a list for one of the handground ones but the person I spoke with was unsure exactly how it would work out.

I'm so excited about the Folding Persian. I can't wait to get mine. :D
When I called yesterday, I was told that there were quite a few memberships sold over the weekend, but that not everyone purchased a knife so there should be some left.
