Greetings All !!!

I know my views but I was wondering what your views are about efficient use of time for survival tasks

The situation and conditions at the time, as well as the need to conserve energy would all dictate which tasks get done first and how quickly they get performed.

I don't know if others are like this, but I get pretty bumble-headed when I am cold, tired, hungry, etc. I think if I tried to be too efficient, I would just get myself into more trouble.

Better to plan carefully, then execute deliberately, for most situations. Sort of a "bird in the hand" mentality - a quest for efficiency is too easily turned into wasteful haste when I am worn down. I think "efficient" to me means "think it through first."

usually the first thing that gets done is a shelter, it is usually the least mentally challenging as compared to the fire making and food and water procurement tasks. i sometimes wonder if this may be subconsciously selected as while doing it it gives you some time to think about how to accomplish the other tasks.

I concur fully...I try to look at my physical state, mental state, what the weather is, time of day ( visibility )as well

I tend to agree. I like to play mind games with myself..sort of a thinking mans survival planner. I like to try to forcast potential situations and set plans in my head as to how I would tackle them.

I have found that doing that gives me a better feel of what to do, how to do it , etc. I did the same sort of thing when I was a cop ...playing the scenario mind game .
