No, I did not misspell it. Why do they have stupid little 2" regulations on knives? It is not like they would be responsible if anyone was hurt/killed with one of the knives that they helped auction. Any reply would be helpful to me in understanding the idiocy of their "rules".

I suspect that the 2-inch limit you refer to is on Switchable Knives? see http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/png-weapons.html

As they are probably HQ'd in California, their legal staff makes sure that items for sale are legal to trade their home state. It is probably a grey area for them that is a minor potential market with more headaches than it is worth.

Seems that their rules parallel many of the internet knife stores that won't sell auto's to anyone except qualified LEO's or Military.

So why do you find Ebay so happy or full of Joy?

Ebay does not understand California law, and puts the same 2" restriction on Butterfly and Balisongs, as they do on Switchblades. They are not even sure where the policy came from, but now that it's a policy, they do not plan to change it, just enforce it. They just got some bad legal advise from a attorney who did not know what he was talking about. I personally would like to have a talk with that guy. But no one will admit to being the guilty party.
