As most people in that forum, I thought that eickhorn had went out of business. Today browsing a web shop, I saw some Eickhorn blades, and I noticed that these weren't marked "out of production, limited to stock on hand". Out of curiosity I googled "Eickhorn" which brought me to the www.solingen-eickhorn.de website. While this one had been down for months, it seems to be working with some 2005 specific products.

Looks like they found some investors to go on. It also seems that they dropped their pocket knife lines to focus on military and rescue blades.

Anyone has some news about it?

Not the best maker around but a maker alive is always better than a dead one.
