do you guys know where i can get a germany army issue gravity knife? im not looking for one of the colt versions, i want a real german army issue that has bund or what ever, on the handle thanks in advance

Never ordered from them but couldn't find anything bad on them.

You sure it will make it through the ZKA?

What I have heard so are they verboten in Germany, but so are many other things too :)
I guess it is like in Sweden. They are illegal if the police finds one on you in the bar, but OK if part of a collection at home.

Thats how it is here to mate.
You can pretty much carry anything except autos and gravity/flick/slide or what ever the law calls them now but you can still own them.
Funny thing is that you can legally carry a sword to the bar here. :D

Germany banned the export of them I was told, and civilian sales are no longer allowed either I believe: Germany is a very liberal place again.
They used to cost peanuts, and I knew people buying them for under $30 in bulk. Expect to pay far more today however.

Excellent knife given it dissembles to clean quickly, and without tools, but the steel used is prone to dents and chips.

I had a friend go looking for one when in Germany on tour. He had a German acquaintance with him on the search. They were eventually told by some knife dealer that these can not be sold to civilians in Germany. I've wanted one of these since i was a kid.

I used to have one long ago--I did not like it. It does open very fast, but the lock is not very strong or secure. Also the knife is very large and bulky, and has a rather small blade. Mine broke from using it at work, and I threw it away. P.S. it was the made in Germany version (then West Germany) and not some cheap knock-off.

i picked a complete one up of off e-bay a week or two ago, eickhorn LL-80, the blade has the squirrel logo on it, everything is plastic save for the slide and the blade and the locking tab, dunno when it was made or if it is a copy, the marlin spike is black and has a flat tab almost like a screw driver, not a point, but it was a complete knife and is of fairly decent quality, but i have seen better. Got it for around $80.I have also seen a seller that sells the handle and the blade in separate auctions on ebay, you could purchase like that, look on ebay for EICKHORN
