I own Eickhorn and Fallkniven A1 & A2. IMO Eickhorns look great, but the steel is mediocre and they are not cutters. If you intend to use the knife for anything from camping, survival training or self-defense, F1 every time. Great combo of steels, can get razor sharp, holds it edge and easy to sharpen.
Howdy 'Ol Bud & Welcome to Blade Forums - Wilderness & Survival Skills !
I don't know anything about the first knife you mentioned but the F1 is talked very highly of in these parts. For the money I would check out some of the fine custome makers here ( Stomper, Koyote, Mark Wohlwend, Sicily02...etc) They make some Sweet steel & are great people to deal with
Why would you want to destroy a knife ? If you want a solid knife to beat on & not spend alot of money on get yourself a KA-BAR/BECKER BK2  1/4" 1095steel, built like a tank ! & Unless this "SuperKnife" is a lightsaber then it's not gonna cut thru a Tank !
there is a differance between use & abuse.
I dont mind spending money i just want a bloody tuff knife.
something custom made is a work of art.
Is 1/4 inch 1095 stronger than 1/4" D-2 steel?
HI
Just after some input on Eickhorn D-2 steel Knife
Model is Pohl 2
Thinking of trying one instead of F-1??
I Know F-1 is a great knife.
Just want info on Eickhorn pls
Thanks every one i will get both.
Just cheaked the web D-2 steel is one tuff son of a bitch grade steel.
Eickhorn could have a great knife there.
The reason i thinking of the Pohl 2 is that it is sized between the F-1 & S-1 Fallkniven.
Just about right i think ? For me any way
I give them both a good test .
I sleep on it just same

It makes it hard for you to keep track of the answers.
It's a nuisance for us to consolidate them.
Welcome to the forums and good luck with yr search.
Just as an aside, can you give us an update re: the Tasmanian Devil, have they made any progress in finding out what is causing that terrible face cancer issue?
