Ek Commando Survival Knife, NIB from 1989, with conversion Micarta scales

Here is a rare find... This is an EK survival/fighter knife, still with all the original packing and literature. The gentleman I purchased it from found it in the original, unopened shipping box, dated from 23 years ago, then I purchased it from him. He opened it, photographed it and then closed it up.

I have a few of these, and after I received it, I decided that I would pass it on to someone who would appreciate a truly "virgin" NOS Richmond knife.

The postmark on the shipping box is from November 29 1989. You will receive everything pictured here: all packing paper, the "Silent Partner" booklet, copyright 1988, the hanger tag, and the original box.

I contacted Robert A. Buerlein, owner of Ek, and ordered a set of the Micarta scales and 3 of the X-Head Fasteners. With these, you can unravel the paracord, fit the scales to the handle and viola, you have a Commando M 3, and at a lot less than a new one.
