Kudos to KaBar for offering these classic knives. At some point a guy like me starts to question whether he's almost got enough knives to last a lifetime...................then something like this happens and I can answer with a resounding NOT YET!

I've lusted over the EKs since I was a kid. Count on my acquiring the whole EK lineup before this is over.

I'm down with for this Bowie when it hits my fave Ka-bar dealer.

In Oregon we can carry single edged blades of any size, openly or concealed without a whisper from the government. The EK44? Not so much because it is a "dagger."

This begs the question about if a sharpened swedge is also considered a double edged blade.
 
Since a sharpened swedge IS a second edge, I'd say it does in fact become a double edged blade.
 
I think this has shot to the top of my Christmas list! This was the first alert I have received from the Ka-Bar app which is fun

Excellent work KA-BAR! This looks like it has excellent modding potential too, I can just picture antique ivory micarta and a polished blade.
