I'm interested in the clip point - I like 5 inch blades and clip points, but it's going to be unlikely to handle one where I am.
I did handle a Ek Model 4 in a store once... and honestly I didn't like it. I found the handle height to be narrow (like holding a thin stick) and I didn't like the handle heavy balance.

From the pics, the Ek Model 50 the handle looks taller (in line with the blade width, unlike the Model 4). It also is clearly a LOT shorter. Is it too short? I wear Medium glove so I think I must be at the limit.

Can anyone make any comparison notes (or better yet a picture!)

pic of mine in my hand...I have little girl sized hands for ref.........

its smallish and thinnish but not too bad......

Thanks - yes that's my concern. I might hold off until I can handle one for real.
I hate handle that feel like I'm holding onto a pencil.
I get that. how about a comparison to an esee 4....not sure what knives say got so ya get an idear to size......I got a lot of Buck models and other brands to compare it to......if ya give me an idear I'll try to compare them for ya.....

Thanks jbmonkey jbmonkey - that comparison to the Esse4 is helpful as I have handled one of those and not too bad.. At least the Model 50 scales are girthier so that's good.

The only somewhat "common" fixed blades I own would be the Cold Steel Master Tanto or a Mora Kansbol/Garberg.
