Another great transaction with Ragnar from www.ragweedforge.com, ordered Sunday, received today

12C27 blade, measures 0.084" at the ricasso. Plunge to tip is about 2 3/16", 3 5/8" closed, 5 7/8" oal. Thickness at the very narrow edge bevel - 0.007-0.009".
Shaved out of the box, but I gave it 15 passes/side on spyderco ultrafine, then 20 passes/side on a leather strop with chromium oxide and 100000 mesh diamond. Cutting mercerized cotton thread, I did 10 cuts with 30-45g measured on a digital postal scale.
The handle is plastic, with a little texturing on the bottom. Perhaps too little, as it doesn't grip. Still a comfy shape. Brass screws at the pivot, and a brass lined thong hole. I was surprised at the amount of steel in the handle, it has partial liners nested in the hollow plastic scales.
Issues with this $10 knife-the backspring and backspacer are recessed instead of flush with the edge of the handle. The blade near the tip contacts the plastic backspacer despite the kick. The blade is ground a little to one side, so it doesn't center in the handle. Snap is very good, a little too good. Past 90 degrees, the blade snaps closed very quickly - watch those fingers.
Comparison shot is with a Case sodbuster jr. to show the thin stock and deep grind. This is a cutter for sure.
