EKA Nordic W11: any review?

I like the W11. I haven't used it often and not really hard yet. But it has a nice look and feel to it.
However I don't like the sheath. The knife is hard to get out and in and it cuts up the sheath in the process.

Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas

Any other opinion on W11 and EKA Knives?
No, not really, I haven't changed my mind since I first started to use it: It's an "honest" knife in the meaning that if it feels right at first, it goes on feeling that way (as opposed to some).

I have a swede 88 and,and it is a ideal EDC for me. The EKA knife seems to fit the outdoor use, Never hesitate!

I have the 88 Masur which is the swede 88 with a birch handle.
It's wonderful, really wonderful. One of my fave EDCs in my collection. Strong, light practical, elegant.

I have an W11, it was a great disappointment.

For a Scandi knife, it is hollow ground which I hate, it also wasn't near as sharp as it could have been because of the edge bevel. This bevel angle is more for a 'chopper' blade and not a utility/slicer/carver that I would expect from a Scandi knife. If it had a flat ground or scandi ground edge, it would have been much sharper. I would need to remove a lot of steel in order to get a better & sharper edge, which I decided not to do as I plan to sell it.

Didn't like the grip, because of how it is angled and finger-grooved, you are forced to using only one grip with it. This grip is at a severe angle to the handle/steel -and while this is a good angle for whittling and carving wood -it doesn't give you comfortable options for other handholds and angles.

Pretty design, well made, and great leather -'tho I agree with everyone's opinion about the sheath. It was a great disappointment for the Scandi knife-user that I am.

Soon you will have a China made Eka if you buy a new one, the factory moves to China after more than 100 years of production in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
