I am considering to get Eka Swede 60 as it seems to be a robust and well made knife. It can be had with either stainless (12c27) or carbon (??) blade. Any idea how these two compare?

thanks

Bump :) I am also curios to learn a littlle more about the carbon steel (type, hardness)

I considered the same knife a couple of years ago, so I am going from memory. I think the carbon is a 1095 equivalent. Not sure of the hardness but the carbon blades are typically 1 -2 points HRc higher. You cannot go wrong with either. Even though the carbon is harder the stainless is purported to hold its edge just as well. I have found this to be true on my Moras.

Thanks :) that would go in favor of stainless version. I also have Mora in 12c27 and like the steel a lot.
