Do you find that your pivot comes loose easily? The wave seems to loosen it even quicker than my CQC7 which I thought was bad enough.

Currently it has some blue loctite on the threads but that doesn't seem to work for more than 2 weeks at a time.

What else can I do? Anyone else have this problem with any of there waved models?

BTW the wave is great and I love it and all but my pants all look like **** now.

I find that wrapping the threads, with teflon tape works every time. Just wrap them two wraps and you should have no problems after putting the pivot back in place. Also teflon tape still allows you to adjust the pivot, slightly, once assembled.

In my experience all Emersons loosen up quickly, even my Benchmade CQC. It's a pain to tighten that torx pivot screw, I might add. Anyway, I've always had good luck with red Lock-Tite.

I agree that blue doesn't work the best. I used purple and it worked just fine. I also carried a Sebertech with me, just in case that I needed to tighten it.

I concurr!!! the purple works well, careful if you go into the harder loctite as it takes heat to loosen it back up!!!

I know that I shouldn't point this out and it's not a put down on EKI or Benchmade knives, but you carry a multitool on a daily basis so that you can tighten the piviot screw. Don't you see a major problem with that?

Purple loctite?? Thanks guys...didn't even know about that one. Thought there was only blue and red.

That teflon tape also sounds good. Is there a particular brand name or anything that I should look out for? or just any ol' teflon tape?

Let me clarify:
1) I carry the Sebertech anyway and it comes in handy if the pivot comes loose.
2) Any knife with a pivot screw can become loose. I have had the same problems with Spydercos, Benchmades, and Emersons.
3) It's not a big deal. All tools occasionally need to be adjusted, tightened, etc.
4) Don't see a problem with it at all.

OK, to each his own.

And I would just like to state once again that the above statement was not intended to be a put down on any company. I just feel that any knife, from any company, that I am carrying a multitool to tighten the pivot on is in need of more help than a multitool can give and needs to be fixed before I carry it again. IMHO the pivot is not supposed to be come loose often enough to carry a mutitool, I should think that it could last a day at least and if it won't make it a week then it's in need of some serious maintenance and upkeep.
