EKI Customer Service not responding?

Long story short: I've been trying to contact EKI's CS regarding a blade repair/replacement for my 2011 SuperK. I love this knife, it's my grail. I've sent three emails so far, but to no avail. I've tried calling them too, but it's too expensive from my cell, and when I manage to call them from a landline, I never seem to get through. Can anyone help clear the smoke for me and maybe give me a suggestion or two as to where to go from here? Much appreciated.

I've never emailed them, but I have called. The one time I called the phone was answered within 2-3 rings and the lady was friendly and took her time to answer all of my questions. My guess would be that they are busy getting ready for BLADE. It is usually a little harder to get in touch with anyone in the knife industry around this time of year.

The problem for calling (on my end) is that I'm stationed overseas and I'm cutting an 18HR difference. It's difficult to say the least, to try to get an open phone line here, especially on duty.

Dear Ttran778,

Perhaps you did not get our response which we replied to April 15. Since there seems to be an email issue (we only received this one email) and you are not getting ours, I am posting it here so you can make a decision regarding your knife. Our customer service did respond to your only email that we received. Our business hours are 0700-15:30 Pacific Time, Mon-Fri and we have 3 people on phone duty. Perhaps you were calling after hours.

Hope this gets through.

My Best Regards,

Ernest Emerson

Whoa, Ernie himself is replying directly? Ok I'm actually a bit stoked now :D

I've never actually received any emails from EKI (checked my spam filters and setting), which is why I posted here about the next route I should pursue. Note, never did I say anything negative about the product, I was simply just trying to see where to go from here.

The thing about my SuperK is, It's my grail. If at all possible, can I send it in and maybe request a re-grind on the tip? The Karambit itself has a very sentimental value to me and I'd like to keep as much of it whole as I can.

If it means anything at all to the other Emerson fans out there, I own several ZTs, Cold Steels, 5.11's, Spyders, several higonokamis, but 99% of the time I'm carrying my SuperK.

Yep Ernie is the man..
What i like more is he's a actual human too. Makes mistakes just like the rest of us, but handles them admirably. Very rarely do you see that in life, yet alone business where its so cut throat.

I have never had to return anything to them, but have sent a question or two via email. I remember a fast response and helpful information.

FWIW Be Careful Over There and I appreciate you serving. Thank you.:-)
