i had one a few yrs ago, was "ok", i suppose the lagriffe is kinda different but imho emerson fixed blades (including customs) arent anything special, he is more known for his folders, the PUK is ok but i can think of a lot of other FB's which are imho better for SD, or utility.
and again its ok, just not crazy about it.
i swapped it for something/another a while back, i rarely swap EKI folders FWIW.

Thats pretty much exactly where i stand with the PUK.
I'v not seen a new one in the flesh so i dont know how different it is to the older one, could be better but from the pics iv seen it looks pretty similar.
Its not a bad knife, you could certainly do worse, but you could also do better :thumbup:
i like bud nealys stuff with the MASS system (NOT the MCS system) i have a 5" M2 pesh kebz, & a amoeba and for edc they are both hard to beat as far as ease of carry, ease of concealment, design of the knife and the knife handle, i really like 'em, have tried the MCS system too and it just didnt work for me & the way i dress/way i carry FB's, i called bud and he said to try the MASS, which works great. al polkawskis stuff, especially the collaborations he did with bob kasper are also excellent, both bud and bob make great sheaths, something not all 'smiths can claim. i have a polkawski companion and its one of the very best concealment FB's too, hard to go wrong with anything from these 2 guys for edc FB for SD.
as far as production stuff a CRKT companion w/a custom sheath is a great concealment FB for not a lotta $$ and pretty close dimensionally to the custom companion, of course the steel, F&F and such isnt anything like the custom but hey ~$50 vs ~$250, for the $$ its hard to beat. the MOD razorback is another one i carry occasionally, it too has a good sheath for how i carry a FB, and the knife sint bad either, only con to it imho is it need to be rebeveled if ya want it to get very sharp, and its not full tang (although i have never felt like it was weak, just would prefer a full tang).
greco also makes some good FB's, i have a recon and its a good one, esp for the $$, and of course busse makes a lotta good ones too though i dont even have a busse right now.
