Hmm, I still like my Eklipse a lot, the only reason it doesn't get more pocket time is the 3" slicer I got last fall has displaced most everything else.

One possible detractor on the Eklipse is the absolute lack of spare parts - my Eklipse came with bronze hardware (one of the reasons I jumped on that particular one), but still wears its original black scale - would love to be able to swap that out for blue/black, or green, or... - that's one of the things that sets the XM's apart from other knives: sure, they have great construction / materials / fit & finish, and lovely ergonomics, but you can also customize the heck out of them with real genuine parts, in-warranty and everything.

That's why I said it was & still is the poor stepchild to the XM (before the mods took creative license to my post)

Don't understand why you can praise the knives all day long, but the minute you say something that might be taken as a criticism, it gets edited out of your post.

How about this; Does anyone feel that the Eklipse has been hurt by the non-availability of scales & Ti parts, thus relegating the Eklipse to a 'lesser' position' than the XM for customizing or just changing up the knife from time to time?

Maybe so but all those parts are coming after the RHK crew moves into their new production facility that is currently under construction. I have no problem waiting.

The XM has been out for several years the eklipse - one.
It is a great knife as is IMO .... Will accessories ever make it as popular as the XM? Who knows. Wasn't the design goal.
Is it my favorite RHK? No it isn't.
I like 3.5" XMs the best vs 3" or 4". Not sure if that is grounds for a discussion thread but it certainly isn't praise or the avoidance of same.

How can you say it wasn't part of the design goal when RHK has partnered with ZT to produce the knife with Ti slabs & all kind of 'custom' parts??? (whenever that comes to fruition)
