Just finished this one. Unfortunately, the photo just doesn't do this one justice.

One thing that I really liked about this one was that I found a nice piece of Arizona Desert Ironwood Burl in my stock that had swirls and eyes which somewhat mimic the swirls and eyes in the Damascus pattern.

The Damascus is 1084 and 15n20. The hardware is Nickel Silver. Because of the angle I had to use to cut down on glare, you can't really see the 3D effect of Ironwood or the Damascus.

This one is a surprise for a fellow in Texas, from his wife. I hope he'll like it.

You're right on the money ~ the damascus and the Desert Ironwood Burl compliment each other nicely !

Beautiful knife. . .from one end to the other !

Terry,

Nice work. That ironwood is amazing, the grain looks like there's a forrest fire burning in it...:D

Those pictures look just fine to me. They show a great looking knife and they do it well. Love the pattern of that damascus and the rather different pattern that the ironwood displays.

He'll like it. If not, he has questionable taste to say the least.

The detailed picture of the wood burl was reminding me something, it took me half a minute to figure what: Van Gogh's painting, Starry Night. The ironwood burl looks a bit like the stars in the painting.

Still haven't figured out how something so gorgeous can still take on a sinister guise. But, it does. I really NEED to get one of these

I'm having a real hard time typing anything here, as my keyboard is covered in slobber and drool! :D

Terry, that knife is as nice as anything I have seen from you. :)

I certainly wish my wife (or anyone else for that matter) would surprise me with one of your blades!! I looooooooove it!!!! Fantastic work and choice of materials Terry! Bill.

That is just beautiful Terry. The ironwood is fantastic! Very nice, clean pattern in that damascus too.

Absolutely stunning, I like the damascus and ironwood combo. I hope that man in Texas realizes just how great a wife he has! I'm going to show this one to my wife with a big "nudge nudge wink wink" thrown in for good measure.
Nice work, please keep 'em coming!

Very nice Terry, I like all of your knives but you've outdone yourself on that one! I'd love to see your Zolas Bowie in a combination like that!

Roger asks, "what's not to love?"

How about the fact that it's not heading to Toronto or Belleville? :grumpy:

But, I am a patient man. My Primos will come soon. :) :D

More of your Damasucs, I see. That is a great selection of matching materials, as everyone has noticed. The glare problem is only an issue if you have a really nice finish ... Murphy's alive and well again. As always, great work. Terry, I'm running out of complimentary verbs...Jason.

Many thanks for the kind words guys.

The idea of a lady wanting a special knife for her husband really touched me. A lot of time and thought went into this one.

I had considered inlaying an escutcheon like I did with the Damascus and Ivory one, but I couldn't make myself mill an oval in the middle of that unique figure of the Ironwood. I personally like this one better than the one with Ivory.

If the pictures don't do it justice.., I'd flat-a** faint in person...lol. That's a gorgeous knife Terry!
