This one was inspired by the English bird's head trade knives shipped to the Spanish-Mexican SW in the early 19th century
The 7" Blade was hand forged out of 1080/84 by the late Gib Guignard.
The bird's head grip is curly walnut with a pewter bolster, pewter & turquoise inlays, and pewter inlays with brass tacks in the butt. It's finished with 10 hand rubbed coats of my own traditional violin varnish.
The sheath is buffalo rawhide over a bark tan liner. It's decorated with glass beads, tin cone tinklers, and buffalo hair dangles
 
That is a really impressive knife and sheath combination. Well done.:thumbup::thumbup:
