Ok, so I just won Cinci Machax on Ebay for $183!! I'm so excited right now and also so happy that it is in the hands of someone who knows it's worth!! I'm having it sent home so I can play with it on leave, I will post user pics then. She is already a user, so might as well keep her working!! Until then, here are the ebay photos:

Congrats, muchacho, Cinci era BKT's are getting to be a rare breed. :D Good on you for scoring one, and at a pretty good price to boot.

Congrats on the purchase ! A user for sure. It may need a little freshening up though from those pics.
 
I'll be stripping the rest of the coating off the blade, clear krylon, trying to buff the spine as much as i can, it looks like they were batoning with a hammer! Also i'm gonna try to use some fingernail polish remover on the handle to try and clean it, if that doesnt work i might try some acetone.

Any other helpful hints on getting her back to fighting shape?
 
Send her to me and if ya give me a few months ill have her looking brand spanking new again, new epoxy finish, grivory, hell ill even change that pesky cinci label to kabar and include one of those Becker sheaths since im sure you don't want the crappy leather one.. :D. Just kidding of course. You will have to take some better pics to see when we r dealing with. That seller, a photographer they are not

Wish I could come across a Machax...trade ya a 240sx shell for it lol.
 
Good score Jarod. I got lucky on the Bay last night too and got a like-new Leatherman Wave for $32 and change. Coincidentally, it just happened to be from a seller in a nearby town. Should be here tomorrow.

Anyway, glad you won it. I wasn't real optimistic when you said your limit was $200. I thought it would go for more than that. Congrats though, you called it just right!

Well, I didn't think I would get it for that either and yesterday I got a small bonus in my check, so, I raised my limit to $365 just in case, but thankfully it didn't go that high!

I like that the sheath has Becker Machax stamped into it. :thumbup:
