So tonight I grilled up some filet, and since my competition edge hell razor is my constant companion out of school and I was running the grill tonight I used it as my primary cutting tool.
After cutting into a filet to check the inside I noticed my HR had a blue shimmer to it where I cut the steak.
I thought O crap I ruined the HT on my baby, but then I remembered that Jerry said infi's HT can only be ruined if the blade gets up to 900 degrees and the blade wasn't hot to the touch.
Plus the decarb on the out side was the only place that had the matalic blue sheen.
I expiremented with matches later and sure enough, after the decarb is exposed to alittle heat it developes a atractive electric blue color.
I will try to take some pictures once I find my camera charger, its really good looking.

Off to the gas stove

Wow, I'm gonna get some questions from the warden over this one.

"Honey, whatcha doing with the knife over the gas eye?"

"Uh... Sterilizing??'

I don't know if the steak had anything to do with it eather, but I tried it on afew places where the steak didn't come in contact with it and it worked.
Still, it wouldn't be a bad excuse for steak for dinner.

LMAO!

heheheh

agreed!

Ok turning up the tunes and grabbing a

cop a squatch

I have used my Comp Sarsquatch for moving around logs in a fire and have direclty exposed the blade to the flames. I have never noticed any blueing, but maybe I should clean off the inground layer of rust and dirt and take another look..

Alright guys, don't be cutting your CE knives in half with a blowtorch now.
I know they look ugly but they look alot better in one piece. :D

I just took the HR out of its sheath, its really hard to see under artificial light but in natural light it is vivid.
