Any good ideas for a new electric knife sharpness? I don't have patients for hand sharpening. Had a Darex work sharp along time ago. Works Great on pm2 and miliarys.

The worksharp is the only one that I'm personally aware of that's worth considering, and I only use mine on cheap beater knives. My better knives get sharpened free hand. Another option would be to buy a small bench type belt grinder to use for sharpening. Good luck. Hope you find something that suits your needs.

I own a Ken Onion work sharp grinder that I mostly use for thinning edges down. It works but you have to be careful.
I also have an electric knife sharpener that I occasionally use for kitchen knives if I am feeling lazy. But normally, I free hand those.

If you don't want to drop a lot of money on a 2x72 get an inexpensive 1x30 (lay it on its back so the belt is moving away from you) and some AO belts along with a leather strop belt. You'll be surprised how quick you can pick up on free hand sharpening on a small belt grinder at a low cost.
