Electric Shavers?

Who uses the electric shavers? I've used a rotary type one in the past (long time ago) and I dont have very fond memories about it... I've been using a plain razor for the longest time and I have a hard time shaving every day... my skin gets irritated...

I've been thinking of getting an electric shaver again but this time with foils... Can anyone give me the good/bad/ugly about them? I just don't know what to expect...

Here's one of the models I'm looking at... (on special for fathers day) http://www.remington-products.com/mensshavers/foil_f4790.htm

Thanks!!

I find the foil side to side action electrics arent as good compared to the rotary duel/tripple headed ones. They can snag onto more of your beard than the rotary versions at any one time and dont contour very well to some spots.

Im using this one, the gimick Nivea stuff can obviously be forgotten about if you feel its daylight robbery stocking up on the sometimes hard to find special bottles of non foaming shave cream. The thing operates in the shower just fine and cleans out very easily, the heads are expensive to replace though.

I've been using Norelco for many, many years. I've had exactly two... Which says something for reliability.
Although they do not give a "blade" shave, they do give a "good enough for work" shave....

My current electric is a Remington MS 280. Have to say it's the best electric shaver yet. It's cordless and when you press the left side of the trimmer erect button, it pops the trimmer up to the height of the shaver heads. I've been amazed how quickly and closely this model will shave me when I have a week or ten days beard (not uncommon with me depending on assignment and farmstead work). At this setting it just mows down the quarter to half inch long whiskers with almost zero effort. The trimmer 'mows' and the cutter blades shave. A really neat system.

None---they all suck.

Gillette Mach 3 is the ticket.

Straight razors are the real deal ;)

I have a Remington electric razor (maybe 10 yo, used maybe 2) I don't use anymore. It's working great, just not with my face. If you have some knives you want to trade we could work something. It's similar to the one in your link

I'm a wet shaver now. Cartridge and shaving goo free for 2 years now.

I use a zt300 strapped to my wife's vibrator. Seriously though, I have not had much luck with electric shavers. I have had some expensive ones over the years, mostly as gifts, yet to find one that does as well as a Mach III. Beard trimmers work well if I haven't shaved for a while, also good when I am in a rush.
