it is pretty used(not too abused) tool but little neglected, thought it was stainless blade, after removing all that paint, dings and scratches it turned out it has nice wood handle(grenadill,or something else that smells like chocolate ) and good old carbon steel :)

together with SAK el. and other more common electrician knife.

Great job on that. My GEC #15 has me looking into electricians knives. Having that flathead blade is more useful than I realized. I love how the handles turned out on that. I would have never thought they would come out so nice.

Great clean-up job  :) I've seen the knife on the right on sale in tool shops here, very inexpensive.

Don't see too many of the Utica TL's. Nice honest used knife!

I love the old electrician patterns and I have seen them in the hands of many tradesmen, "mechanics" as they were once called, not just those who made electrician their profession. Most were made of good materials and designed to be stout for years of service. Nice recovery of one which at first glance appeared to have covers in relic condition.

I love a good electrician's knife. I got one like that for myself for work, but it's a Camco brand.

Outstanding job saving that knife! It cleaned up very well. One day I hope to own a TL-29 as my wife's Grandfather was a lineman in WWII. It would be nice to own one and be able to show it to my boys. I need to start scouring gunshows & pawnshops lol.

Thanks Gents,
i got it(dirt cheep)just to see how this size and pattern would feel, and i'm positively surprised,it is well built, useful knife.

Nice job Rino! I love the TL-29's. Many were used by painters and craftsmen because back in the day they were cheaply had, and tough as nails. Open a paint can, no problem! Scrape putty or window glazing, yup, they take it in stride. Nice find on that fine tool
