I realized I had accidentally collected an electrician pattern knife for nearly every social situation. I took an excellent picture, and I found a thread to put it in.

The electrician and lineman's knife.There are a plethora of this category of knives out there as quite a few were made at the advent of the electrical age. Some quite utilitarian and others with flare. Let us bring as many variations into the light as possible

Is that a Dura-Tool electrician knife? I've only seen them with clip & bottle opener blades. Very cool!

It is, in fact.



I didn't know about them either, until recently. It might have been somebody on this forum, I wish I could give proper credit. Either that or one of my boredom scrolls of the auction site.

My only Electricians are the Victorinox kind. Starting with this old cross model.

Followed by a couple of colored ones.

My only example is the one issued to me in the late eighties. The TL marking on these means tool / linesman's if I recall .

None quite so rare as the Buffalo and Empire in Charlie's ( waynorth ) photos. And there are none in my little collection that I would not and do not carry and use. It is a very sturdy and useful pattern.
