Good day group. Currently i use a salt water mix to electroetch my mark and custom designs into the blades. But i was told that "specific electroetching electeolytes" produce a cleaner etch...however i can not seem to find any place that sells it by its self. And suggestions....??? Or places?

I add a little vinegar to my salt/water solution. I don't know that it makes it work better or makes for smoother edges, but It's what I was told "back when" and I still add it.

I have used circuit board etchant for "static etching". I don't know if that might be what your "specific electroetching electrolytes" might be, but maybe the person was referring to that etchant?

edit to add - I get mine from Radio Shack. It's active ingredient is ferric chloride.
