I have just recently noticed a small ant problem in my house. Usually I just see one or 2, but a left out cereal bowl will bring in 30. I have been interested in some of the electronic anti-pest products that use the house wiring to confuse and drive out the little beasts but was wondering about their true effectiveness. Has anyone used these products or could recommend something.

Here is an example:

Thanks

They are basically a scam featured on late night infomercials and the backs of magazines.
We had an ant problem in our house, had the exterminators come out... they found ant nests in my crawlspace! I hope you aren't dealing with carpenter ants... them's are baddies!
good luck,
Mongo

I gotta share an ant story: I was vacationing at my grandparents place when I was a kid. They had a lot of ants everywhere. A couple crawled into my ear on night. (No, I didn't stick any food in my ear.) Drove me nuts! Good thing they didn't bite. My grandma put a few drops of baby oil into my ear and plugged it with a cotton ball. We found two dead ants stuck to the cotton ball later on.

One of my uncles is a cyborg. He whacked my mom's sister.

It's the only electronic aunt killer I know.

had problem with ant's going to my departed dog's food bowl, they got so bad that he would not eat.I traced them back to thier nest, then put " COMBAT" bait trap's.I also soaked some cigar butt's in water till the water got good and dark.Poured the water on and around the nest site. Nicotine is very poisonuse [sp]

Bandit, we had a huge ant problem, they were carpenters, total pain in teh ass. What we got was this stuff that came in a little bottle, it looked like a nasal spray bottle, anyweays, you find where some ants can be found and you squit some in a pile, soon there will be hundreds of ants taking the stuff and going to take it to the queen, the queen eats it and dies, then the other ants die off aswell.
