Hello,
I'm an engineer at Kone Elevator in McKinney, Texas. We're about to tear out an elevator from our test tower and will have lots of elevator hoist rope being hauled off. If any of you knifemaker folks are interested in any of it, I'm sure we can work out some way of getting some to you. It started live as Gustav Wolf PAWO F7 13mm diameter steel core hoist rope.
One of my co-workers is married to a budding knife maker and she said her husband would like some, so I thought the larger knifemaking community might like some also.
