I ran across a website where the author shares his experiences with a gift he recieved, an Elinox (Victorinox) SAK in about 1978. The knife has a bottle opener, woodsaw, and main blade. I was wondering if anyone (most likely Vincent with one of his catalog scans :D ) could give me a name? Mostly, I want to know if I can get one, because it would suit the needs of my uncle PERFECTLY.

I think Vincent answered my question without replying! :D

After some searching, I have deduced that it might be the Plumber model.

Needle,

Edited after I paid better attention to your post.

Here's a lumberjack or AKA as a plumber.

I just saw one at an office and school supplies store earlier today, about $15 U.S. here in Mexico, I have one, useful and cool, two springs wide (plumberjack? LOL).

Thanks, Chris. Glad to have an alias for it, I couldn't find anything for the Plumber . Actually, before you edited your post, I saw the link and I think the multi you're trying to ID would be even better for him, hope it's not discontinued! The Safari isn't bad, either. I like those scales.

Thanks

Edit:

Hey Don, glad to see they're in retail! :D
