Does anyone have any info. on the Elishewitz Integral lock knives? How do they compare to the Sebenzas? i.e. Heated lock bar face? Blade finish? The purpose of the screws in the front handle slab?
TIA

Adam, I understand the screws are simply decoration. I am as curios as you on other counts, though. I believe he was using several finishes lately, satin and stonewashed.

My monolocks (Chris Reeve has the Integral Lock words trademarked) do not have flamed titanium liners. Each maker has his/her own approach to produce a knife. One is not better than the other.
The most important thing is the result. Does the knife lock-up? Is it smooth? Is it consistent?...
I can say that Chris Reeve makes a good product which is very hard to beat. I just happen to offer a heavy lock in a variety of styles and sizes. I go one step further and add handle material on top of the liners.
I do not base my whole line on a plain monolock but it is one more variation of handle for the customer to choose from.
Have a good weekend!

Allen, looking forward to seeing more of your new models in the next couple of months.
What should we expect to see?

Also, I understand that the monolock is going to become a standard feature in your basic model line. I would love to hear more.

Larry,
I will have 3 new models in a couple of months. Next year should be quite exciting with 6 new models and different handle configurations.
The monolock is one of 6 different handles that I will be offering. Keep an eye on my website for more information soon.
Thanks,

I caught the custom fever quick! Just got a small Apogee today. I am selling the Striker to "MThunter," he has always wanted one, just as I did. I plan on using the meney from it to get myself an integral Specter / Striker, or a mokume Striker with cf scales.

I like the looks of the Cortex with G-10 overlay at Arizona Custom Knives. They have a good shot of the lockbar side.

Well, it's been sold. Thank goodness, as it mocked me almost daily. Here is a picture at Allen's Site of the same knife.

That's pretty cool James, but the G10 looks out of place. Now pearl...

I asked Allen about other materiels, CF, etc. He said the G-10 is specially made and very thin. I imagine MOP would be very fragile for a thin overlay.

At least now I can wait to decide what I get next.

Get that Specter, then I can rest easy knowing it has a good home.

I bet it wouldn't tear up my jeans like my new toy does.

It nice to see makers compliment other makers. I'd hate to feel like makers are in comppetition with each other, (though I guess they are) or are too stuck on themselves to admit that someone else's designs are also nice. Thanks Darrel.
