I have recently aquired an Elishewitz Janus. Are any of you familier with this knife and if so, what is your opinion.

Valley28,
congrats!
I think the elishewitz janus is a real classy gents folder, the bolster lock makes for a super strong lockup and the damasteel blade keeps a real sharp edge.
I have one with 3 sets of scales, abalone, burgundy micarta and buffalo horn that goes nicely with allens buffalo hide case.

Recoil, great pic. Does Elishewitz still offer the extra scales? The scales on my Janus are of ivory micarta, but I would like something different.

Nice thing about a custom is that the maker will make anything you want.
I spoke to Allen recently about carbon fiber scales for the Janus and he said no problem.
