Can anyone help me with age, name, materials on this one. Nice little knife I picked up second hand. 7.5" open length

Ask Allan, he'll tell you. It is one of his own customs, of course. It has carbon graphite scales and titanium innards, annealed to create the color. The blade is probably ATS-34 and is the dull, not highly polished version. I have forgotten the blade designation.

It should open very easily. I would resist loosening the pivot, although it can be done with your fingers, since it will need Locktite to stay tight.

He makes great knives doesn't he? That's one you can use every day and not feel bad since very hard to bang up. Easy to keep sharp, too. :)

To me, that model looks like a Specter, and I would think that the blade steel is 154CM. I don't know what those wires inlaid into the carbon fiber scales are, though.

Why not send Allen an email? He has always been helpful to me in identifying older models that I was not familiar with. Here is his website, where you can find contact info for him: http://www.elishewitzknives.com/
