I am thinking about buying a Specter and was just wanting general opinions of Elishewitz's knives.I welcome all opinions and suggestions from anyone who owns or has handeled this knife or a similar model. Thanks for you help.

I owned a knife made by Allen until just recently and thought it was a really nice knife. It was very well made. The fit and finish were excellent. The action was smooth and the blade came very sharp. The only problem I had with it was that I always got the skin of my thumb pinched between the lock and the liner when closing the knife.

I have the Djinn and the Persian, both liner locks and both are very smooth and have excellent lock-up characteristics. Fit and finish also excellent on both. I could easily recommend either.

I have a few and they range from very good to superb. I have always loved the shape of the Spectre's blade. Great choice.

I have a Neo with G-10 insert. High quality materials and workmanship. I like the Spectre design and was real close to buying an all black version. I procrastinated for awhile and lost out to another buyer on BladeArt. I say go for it!

Matt,
I have a Specter, Phantom and Janus by Allen, all very different styles but all with the same great quality.
The Specter and Phantom have excellent liner locks with the Janus having the bolster lock.
I don't think the Specter is one of Allen's regular items so if you see one jump on it, you will like it!
