OK the story behind this. I own a small firearms training business. My mentor Pat Goodale, owns PFT.com which is a national training organization. Pat is a retired Marine officer. Me and M.S. Shane Taylor where visiting with Pat, and we got to talking about prices of custom knives and Pat made a comment about how it is too bad most enlisted Marines could not afford a knife like that. So me and Shane asked Pat if we could get some of the Top makers in the industry to donate a knife if he could get them in the hands of Marines who are actually seeing combat and not stuck in the rear. Pat agreed that he could. So we started talking to different makers and this is what we came up with. In that time the Unit these are going to has returned stateside and is gearing up to head out again shortly. Due to security issues I have chosen not to give the unit ID out but any of the makers who donated can contact me and I will give them the unit info. Anyway that is the story.
