I saw this on Sierra Trading Post's site and wondered if someone could give a little more info on it. Why the hol(e)y blade? How many are out there?

I am in no way associated with STP, blah, blah, blah.

Maybe they were testing on the 110 before they did the Buck/Mayo's. LOL. That is a real cool looking knife whoever did it!

For about a dollar more you can get a normal Buck 110 with Elk built in the Custom Shop. I got one earlier this year, and it's awesome!

Just yesterday i had a collector call me and ask about this knife. We did just over 200 of them so far. I was looking for an extra blade with the intent to put it in a 560 titanium handle. Wouldn't that look cool? The titanium has matching circles in its handle and i think it would look great with that blade. Alas, there were no extra blades to be found...

Wouldn't all those holes seriously weaken the structure of the blade?

Or is it assumed that a knife like this would most likely never really be carried?

Joe; I like your idea with the 560 and the holes in the blade. How about making the counterbores on the scales through holes and have the centers of the holes on the blade align. That'd look pretty cool I think!!!! You could look right through the knife at those points.

Might be some liability issues. That would be a dangerous knife. Very good for trimming fingernails, finger tips and maybe using as a bolt cutter.

(It would look cool though)

Hey, maybe those holes in the blade could serve as blood-grooves?
Sure is Different.
