He's already nice but another year or two and he'll have a real trophy rack. Of course, he'd probably eat better at this age....

The meat is my primary goal, but if the first bull I ran across happened to be a 6x6 340+ point animal, well-----I guess I'd just be chewing a bit harder for the next year!:D

What part of Colorado are you in? Looks like the Estes Park area. Wish I was there, Seattle is one dark drizzly place this time of year.

Yes, I'm in the Estes Park area right now. Its funny in the past month while hiking or driving I've probably seen 2000 elk and the very biggest bulls are right in the town of Estes. I guess they know they can't get shot there:D; that's why they're big.
 
Here are some pretty big fellows a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Not quite so "up close and personal" but still fun to see.
