Greetings everyone,

Here is a knife that I just finished up for a relative. The last time I gave her a knife, she lost it in the woods, so I decided to make this one harder to lose. I got some hot pink Kydex for a sheath, and bought some pink G10 for the handle. Unfortunately, the G10 wasn’t nearly as bright as I was hoping. The steel is Elmax, with about a 5.5” blade. I also made a leather sheath, in case she didn’t like the Kydex.

I am quite sure I have never seen such a color on a knife scales (or sheath) but it looks very nice. Great looking knife!

My fiancee would be all over that. It looks like a really great blade, and that Elmax should serve her well.

I'm relieved you said "...last time I gave her a knife..."
Having said that I reckon it's totally bad-ass for a girl and it would certainly complement one of these ;)

Looks Good.
I have used the pink kydex a couple times and it is very bright.

That looks great! it will definitely be hard to miss if you set it down somewhere. I like how you did your belt loop for the kydex sheath simple and the black contrasts nicely with the pink.

Someone told me that if you put a white liner under the pink the pink will brighten up quite a bit. Holds true for red & jade G10 also.

Thanks guys!

I couldn't find pink G10 bright enough to match the sheath, so I used what I had. Then, yesterday, I saw a really nice knife posted by i4Marc, which lists his handle material as "War Wood". I didn't know what that was, so I Googled it and found the source. It turns out that that the seller has another material called HI-MACS, which does come in neon pink. I'll have to remember that if I ever make another pink knife.
