Hoping to find a couple of solid knives utilizing both an Elmax blade and a CTS-XHP blade, $150 or less each.

Anybody know of any they can recommend?

I prefer smaller blades, but, honestly, as long as it's a folding knife, I'm interested in at least checking it out.

Thanks all!

Theres a nifty search function on this website. Theres also a nifty function on knife shopping websites where you can search by parameters.

If you can find them Spyderco released the Pingo, Squeak, Lionspy, & Lil Lionspy in Elmax I know when I could find it the Lil Lionspy was close to the $150 mark.

Yes but those only capture what's currently being offered. Not what may be discontinued but may be found used. It also doesn't give me much in way of recommendations. I'm asking specifically for recommendations, which usually indicates a request for real world experience and relation. It's a huge difference to me, but I understand the lazy response to what you thought was a lazy query.

When someone starts 3-4 threads a day I would assume they were unaware of the search function

I get that, but things change, new offerings are available. Plus I also know typical forum ongoings, people get chastised for resurrecting an old thread just as much as for creating a new one.

Damned if you do, dammed if you don't. The internet is full of people taking out their daily frustrations on those they don't have to see in person or feel obligated to be nice to for any other reason.

I have 3 knives in XHP. The only one in current production is the Spyderco Rhino.
I LOVE the little guy.
It took a week or two of use for the action to fully break in, but it didn’t require anything heroic.
The blade is so small/light I don’t think it’ll ever be a truly free dropper, but it’s definately flickable for opening & closing.

Man your timing is uncanny. I was searching and scouring old threads and websites and I came across two I liked and then I saw the Rhino! Done, end of story, game over! Perfect design for what I like and use a knife for. It's mine! Will be ordering it in two weeks.

I may have also found my Elmax blade in a Bark River fixed. Not sure, I really was hoping for it to be a folder. I absolutely abuse my fixed blades and don't often carry one, except days off, which I'm lucky to get at all, and only when I leave the apartment, which is fewer and further between.

Well, anyway, thanks for the picture and post, it just added to the solidification that I've found my CTS-XHP piece!

Elmax is still up in the air. Hmmmm

Great knife in Elmax. It's a little more than your budget, but worth it.

Unless I am mixing up steels again, it happens too many to keep up with, Elmax will hold up quiet well and is a great still for a fixed blade. I have the Lil Lionspy and love it so it is still a great folder steel too.

IIRC the ZTs are all $200+ and OP was shooting for $150 or below though the Fox is in that range too so...

For the CTS-XHP I would look at maybe...
Cold Steel Code 4(IIRC they have recently changed the steel so will need to find the previous edition with CTS-XHP)
Spyderco Chaparral (3 variants in CTS-XHP)
Spyderco Reinhold

There is also the Real Steel S7 Snow Leopard in Elmax for under $150 looks like a decent lock back design.
