Elmax Fixed Blades?

Hey guys,

I am looking for several new fixed blades, and would love to have a few in Elmax.

Anyone know of any manufacturers or custom makers that use Elmax for fixed blades other than Bark River? I am looking for drop point blades with lengths between 3-6 inches. Thanks in advance!

Kosa_PL makes and sells some here on BF. I have one on the way to check out. It is a 3" drop point, bead blast in elmax (61-62 HRC) with blue pinstriped, black G10 handles. They are very reasonably priced. If for some reason I do not like it (I have many 3" fixed blades) I will let you know here. You may want it more than me. I dont mind "placing" a knife with someone who wants it.

Busse Combat makes a few that might interest you.

HACKtive Duty (top, 3 1/2" blade, 7 3/4" OAL), HACK Warden (bottom, 2 7/8" blade, 6 7/8" OAL):

Max Warden (top), Max Duty (bottom). Similar specs to above:

There are plenty of others out there if you're just willing to do a bit of searching. ;)

I'm pretty sure Microtech makes a Currahee with Elmax blade. I had one of the old ones in D2 and it was cool.

Andrius Tricius from Lithuania uses Elmax (among other steels): http://www.trcknives.com/
No personal experience yet, but from what i hear from Dutch forum members the guy seems to do a very good job on his heat treatment.

I second d "TRC". Some nice looking blades. Forum member " PEHOTA' s" posts are usually good pics of TRC knives in use.

Good knife

The TRC knives look good. I have seen a few of them before. Where's the best place to order one? Is there a US dealer for his knives? $300+ seems a little steep for a stock removal knife, but his designs are highly appealing.

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far.

I tried to multi-quote your post with my post above, but for some reason it would not work. I am very familiar with Konrad and the knives he makes. If you do not end up liking your GARMR, let me know.

Bark river knives has a few different models in elmax as well, such as the adventurer 2 I believe. You can find a good selection at knives ship free.

I like elmax.it a solid performer. However the new laminated cobalt steel being used by Fallkniven in some of their knives is fantastic. Have you seen any. Stuff holds a wicked edge n sharpens up pretty easy compared to most of the super steels in use these days. I would recommend any model in that steel

Spyderphreak said it. Busse does Elmax runs. They just did an Elmax Active Duty. Mine is in the mail. Once they are out in the wild you should see some pop up on the exchange.

Go look up "Jamall" here in the makers forum. He just listed some with Elmax. Some are already sold, there may be some left.

Thanks man for the suggestion. I got in touch with him yesterday. Seeing if he can do what I want...

Is there anyone else out there working with Elmax in fixed blades?

You're getting some great advice here...I was going to mention a few custom guys, but they've already been suggested. I'm working with Konrad on a custom in Elmax now & can't wait for it to be finished - good luck to you, sounds like you know your stuff & you're well on your way to getting what you're after.

I'd send you an email but yours are disabled.

Spyderco Mule Team in elmax, hard part is tracking one down though due to it being a sprint run. Doesn't fully fit your criteria but it's slim picking with tracking down an elmax fixed blade, so every little bit helps.
