I Have been looking at some EMA Linton Knives, particularly the Linton Seal knife. Does anyone have any experience with this particular knife or this company? it runs about $70-$80, is it going to be a paperweight that can't be sharpened or is it going to be worth my money?

That knife appears to be 420J2, which means it is useless garbage. Will hold an edge for about 2 minutes (if that), and is a very soft stainless. If it was 5 dollars, I still wouldn't buy it.

SOMETHING ELSE!

The prices on those knives are insane, you'd find better value on the shopping channel.

Hoffman wrote a decent review of them in a past issue of Tactical Knives.

IMO, the materials that they're made from and where they are made from aren't nearly worth their asking price.

420J2, paracord, and Taiwan do not begin to equal an $80 knife. :barf:

Well...420J2 is very easy to sharpen.

As others have said...it just doesn't hold the edge.
