I have a friend who want to become a member and has a valid email address with a major ISP provider, but the board isn't allowing him to register stating that he needs to use a "working" email address. The email address he has is not a hotmail address, and it is an address I use to reach him. Is there a specific format that the rules engine is looking for when someone tries to register? Like *.*@*.* ?

If it's a Verizon address the registering page tells you all about it in big red letters. If it's not Verizon or Hotmail I don't know what the problem is. How is he finding out his address isn't working? Tell us exactly what happens when he tries to register.
