Email address in profile.

Do you have to leave an email address in your profile? Not clear on this and have searched already for an answer. Thank you! Trying to understand how

There is no need to leave any personal information in your profile...email, phone number, PayPal, etc

In regards the recent stuff going on, like leaving emails and phone numbers on profile posts or threads, this is sound advice.


I read the OP's question differently.

You need an email to sign up and it is attached to the user and can be viewed solely by the user in their profile. I read his question as inquiring if this email can be removed and left with no email attached to ones profile.

Yes, benchwarmer380 is completely correct regarding the need to have a verifiable email address associated with your account upon registering. (It is not visible nor available to members via the site.)

Without it, we, (staff), cannot contact you on the limited occasions it is necessary to do so. If unable to connect to the account holder, the account will be removed.
