Email Hijacked!

I just wanted to let anyone here who gets a email from me,
JDieseljoe69@aol.com
My email was hijacked and some people where sent a spam message.
It was NOT from me, I apologize to all who received one!

If anyone has had this happen, what does it take to solve it?
Any help would be appreciated.

My email got hacked a couple of years ago and if I remember right all I had to do was change my yahoo password.

It is fairly common if you have AOL or YAHOo. I got a spam from you today Joe (we've had transactions and gmail auto saves all those emails... sigh), and I knew to just straight delete and NEVER click a link..

I've had this happen with friends and even wife, and all the accounts were YAHOO, and a few AOL.. Get rid of those dogs!

Oh, and.. nothing to do really. Pretty sure it's just an event that will happen again if you continue to use those carriers/providers. Search google and try to find a fix, post it here for sure if you find a good one. GL

Sometimes its a program that will turn on your automatic vacation response and send the spam through that. Check to be sure that's off.
Sorry to hear that happened to you. What a headache...

There appears to be a definite link to AOL as I gather others on here have had SPAM mail through my AOL Account too.

Any technical help would be very appreciated because these emails are not showing up in my "sent email" box on AOL - nor are they showing up as emails sent via my messages here on Bladeforums.

The recipients however seem to be all linked to Bladeforums.
