If anyone I know received an email from me touting a Canadian pharmacy, you should know it was caused by a trojan virus - and that my account is now secure. The virus got through LOTS of protection layers. I caught it early (yesterday afternoon) and it's "problem solved".

If it happens to you, there is a great program out there that catches trojans and other problem security issues called Stopzilla. That's what I used, though it took four hours of scanning - and accomplished what my two other laptop security programs couldn't. I highly recommend it.

Wut? I ordered 50 tabs of Viagra--on your recommendation. :p

Dang.

well Bob, WOT does not recommend that users should go to stopzilla at all. If you are using MSE that should protect your system. Beyond that periodically run Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware (I call them spare tires) and you will be fine.

There have been a number of these things going around from many different email address' for the past couple of weeks.......sends 'em out to everyone on the contact list.

Don't click the link or you get the bill for Coop's Viagra! :D

Murry that is what my Dr. said about viagra. "It's like a spare tire. You might not need it now, but at your age, you soon will and if you have it.... you will be good to go!"

50 tabs does seem to be an excessive amount though Coop.:D

Murray, I've had one intrusion in my life. I do know what I'm doing and utilize two systems of protection. I recommend Stopzilla for a quck and clean fix if someone gets infected and "standard" protection features don't work. I don't recommend it for continuous use.

My brother and my best friend are beyond expert in the field and both recommend Stopzilla for a fast, quick fix. More importantly, for the average person, Stopzilla is as user friendly as you can get. But, again, not for continuous protection. I should have made that clear.

ps: Coop, we had a deal - half those viagras are mine!

BTW, I get these emails almost daily from: jcooper AT sharpbycoop.com. That's me.

I have long ago disregarded them. I'm working off a Mac and don't think that I have a malware problem(?). Has anyone else gotten a spammer email from my site?

Yeah, I guess 50 is kinda excessive. For one month....! ;)

Bob,

I am currently battling one of these right now. A little late all my friends are now buying viagra. The market is up.

i recommend OS X over stopzilla or anything else

I don't claim to be an expert. I just know what works for the conditions involved in my particular situation. I had intended to use Stopzilla all along, but it was validated by two govt types with extensive computer forensics background.

So frankly, I don't care what anyone else thinks is a better product, at least for my particular application. I go with, in this case, the real expert opinion.

Best,

BB
