What would cause my email links to stop working, in other words if I get a link in an email, it does not work.

Emails do work.......

They stopped working about 4 days ago.........?? Thanks.

Need some more specifics. Are you referring to within the forums or your computer itself?
Assuming since you said 4 days ago it's the pc. What email program are you using?

My computer...........:( you know how when you send a link, you can not click on it until AFTER you have sent it ? Well this stopped working for me a few days ago, I would often send a link and check it after I send to make sure it was a good link.

Outlook Express........my email links on each email still works, just not internet links............Odd

Are you using Outlook, Outlook Express or a web based email server?

Check the options for security in Outlook Express. There maybe a setting that got jogged by windows updates or something. Also, you can backup your mail and recreate your email profile or account in Outlook Express. That may resolve it for you.

I checked security in outlook express, can't find anything wrong....... I'll just keep seaching, thanks for suggestions.

Also, check to make sure your mail format is HTML for Internet links to work. They won't work if your viewing format is Plain Text or something other than HTML.

Typo

Thanks, I checked, it's good, don't know what happened. I just can't figure what could have happened.

Robbie Roberson. ;)

Fixed.......this is what happened.

Last week I installed Firefox......I did not like it so I uninstalled it, thought it was gone but found I had to reset my web settings to IE for my Urls on my emails to work. Why ? I guess firefox was not letting me use IE VIA emails to get on the internet.......

Simple to fix but HARD to figure and find what was wrong.

I'm using Firefox just for this forum. I use IE for everything else. BFC loads real fast in Firefox and I can set my homepage to it and keep my IE home at Google.
Mozilla is also installed for other forums.

See, there you go...if you had told us you were using Firefox prior we could have figured it out quicker. ;) :D

K.V., I know........ I did not provide all the facts, I should have known better......:D .

Actually, I forgot about it, when you get 50...ish, you tend to forget lots more.

Anyway, I appreciate all the help as always.

You can choose to install the browser only with Firefox. Then once it's installed and it asks you if you "want Firefox to be the default browser...", say no. It should only work as a browser and not override other mail apps or browser settings.
